Servings: 4

Time: 25-30 minutes

400 g whole grain pasta

1 package Gardein meatless meatballs

1 tbsp olive oil

1 large carrot

1 celery stick

½ yellow onion

1 garlic clove

1 tin/ 400 g chopped tomatoes

1,5 dl water

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp basil

½ tsp sugar

Salt and pepper (to taste)

First chop or press the garlic. Dice onion, carrot and celery.

Heat up one tbsp. olive oil in a sauce pan or deep skillet. Fry the onion until it is soft. Add the garlic, tomatoes, water, oregano, basil and sugar. Stir and bring to boil. Add the Meatless Meatballs, and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add more water if the sauce gets too thick. While the sauce is simmering, boil water with a pinch of salt. Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package.

Put the pasta and the sauce on a plate. You can add a leaf of basil for decoration.

Chefs tip:  Add 1/2 – 1 finely chopped red chili, if you like your sauce a bit hot & spicy.
